Toll reaches 22 in Karachi mayhem

 Toll reaches 22 in Karachi mayhem KARACHI: Police on Wednesday found five bullet- ridded bodies of unidentified persons from a bus in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, increasing the toll in violent incidents to twenty two, Geo News reported.

The bus was found from Gulsha-eIqbal block 1 near Star Club. It is expected that the five people were shot dead after being abducted.

According to SHO Gulshan-e-Iqbal, all the persons were shot dead few hours ago and the dead bodies were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for legal formalities.

Situation in Kati Pahari, Banaras and Orangi Town is still tense.

Earlier on Tuesday, exchange of fire between two rival groups at Qasba Colony and Hassan Square and the firing incident on bus took place where twenty people sustained injuries.

According to the report, accused also torched vehicle and a house in Qasba Colony. Police said that firing started between the two rival groups at Qasba Colony at about 2 pm, triggering tension in the area.
