A criminal complaint has been filed against veteran actor Prem Chopra for fraud
Veteran actor Prem Chopra has landed himself in trouble. A criminal complaint has been registered at a Rajasthan police station against the actor.
An FIR has been filed by a person called Wasim Khan who had auditioned to play a side character in a film. After being selected, Wasim was asked to pay up Rs 3.5 lakhs for getting a break in Bollywood. After paying the entire amount in February, he lost track of the producers. Unable to trace them, he then went to the local court with his complaint and the court issued a directive to the police station to file an FIR. “Apparently, Prem Chopra had floated a company which was holding the auditions. Though it is not known if Chopra was also a part of this fraud, he will be interrogated as the case has been filed against him,” says a source.
Sources also claim that Chopra wasn’t aware that his name was being used to collect money and didn’t even get any share but unfortunately, the FIR document has his name as the prime accused.
