Police allegedly cut throat of accused

MUZAFFARGARH: Police in Muzaffargarh allegedly tried to cut throat of an accused held by them Monday, Geo News reported. The accused has been shifted to Nishtar Hospital for treatment. The accused victim, Ghulam Abbas is currently facing kidnapping charges and was arrested by police five days ago. As a torture attempt, police allegedly tried to slit his throat with a sharp instrument during custody. Abbas was taken to hospital in critical condition where his family members accused Sub Inspector Afzal of taking bribe from the other party and torturing Abbas.
