MQM stages sit-in against Khi killing
ISLAMABAD:
MQM Deputy Parliamentary leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said there could not
be a strong foreign policy in the absence of a firm interior policy, Geo
News reported.He was talking to the reporters after the MQM boycotted the session and are staging a sit-in outside the Parliament House over the killing of their sector member in Karachi on Tuesday.
He blamed Ahmed Ali for the incident, a criminal against whom 17 FIRs are already registered.
Tension gripped the city after MQM activist Mansoor Mukhtar was shot dead in PIB Colony area. His brother Masood Mukhtar also succumbed to injuries later.
At least 35 vehicles including a police mobile have been set ablaze since then in different areas and three people lost their lives in various firing incidents.
The joint session of the Parliament is scheduled to discuss the recommendations tabled by the parliamentary committee to reset ties with the United States.
The joint session was schedule to discuss the PCNS recommendations on Monday as well but the session was overtaken by debate regarding the loadshedding crisis.
