Addison Lee has plans to 'tweak' its technology if new regulations that could hurt ridesharing apps in London are approved

Private Taxi Company Addison Lee says it has already developed solutions in response to a series of stringent proposals from the regulator of transport in London, which, if passed, would abolish private companies operate.

Transport for London (TFL), the organization that regulates things like the London Underground and travel applications as Uber, presented a list of possible rules in September.

Some of the proposals are very sensitive. The drivers speak English and customers may have to be able to book tours in advance, for example.

But TFL is also considering forcing companies like Addison Lee to introduce a mandatory waiting period of five minutes before a passenger may start the journey. Another proposal calls for the prohibition of animated applications for a client does not know to what extent it was his race cars.

Addison Lee CTO Peter Ingram, said in an interview with Business Insider UK the company has already developed methods to deal with the proposals outlined by TFL, so if you actually spend, the company could implement.

"We looked at all the points raised and worked as our technology can be optimized," he said.

Ingram hinted that the mandatory waiting five minutes extravagant proposal, would have been overlooked by the applications of taxi and public transport.

"The rule of five minutes is interesting, but everyone will find a way around it." He added: "The five-minute rule is difficult to implement and it's really inconvenient for a customer."

TFL proposals have not yet been approved, and the public is able to provide information on possible regulations. However, the feedback process is time consuming and some people have had trouble filling the form.
